ABISS breidt uit: eerste Nederlandse editie in 2025

ABISS expands: first Dutch edition in 2025

Bringing together the cream of industrial decision-makers around digitisation every year is no easy task. Yet ABISS succeeds in doing so with a rock-solid concept: a combination of a summit and a networking fair. The fact that this approach will remain relevant in 2024 is evident from the 14% extra visitors who found their way to the event on 3 October. A success story that is now also going international. Because next year, on 30 October, the first edition will take place in the Netherlands.

ABISS celebrated its ninth edition in October and saw a 141% increase in visitors, with 1,303 participants (1,018 physical and 285 digital). The event once again emphasised the importance of rapid digitisation and connectivity in the industry. Innovations in the field of OT cybersecurity and Industrial AI took centre stage. The latter in particular was translated from theory into daily practice through various demonstrations.

Versatile programme

This year, visitors were able to participate in fourteen Expert Classes, which were once again well attended and generated a great deal of interest. In addition to the ‘learn hubs’, there was a pleasant networking atmosphere. Ninety-two technology partners presented various demos on the exhibition floor. Visitors from OT and IT teams from a wide range of industrial sectors were introduced to the latest developments and solutions. The broad range of technologies and the high level of innovation underlined ABISS's role as the network platform for industrial digital innovation.

Good mix

The visitor mix consisted of both SMEs and large industrial companies, confirming once again that ABISS offers solutions for companies at every stage of their digitalisation journey. Whether it's companies taking their first steps or advanced players looking to benchmark and optimise their processes, ABISS has something for everyone. This makes the event extremely relevant for decision-makers from all industrial sectors. The participants in this edition came from OT/IT teams in a wide range of industries, such as mechanical engineering, the food industry, automation and ICT.

Onwards to 2025

The organisation is already looking ahead to 2025, when ABISS will celebrate its tenth edition in Kortrijk (9 October) and organise its first edition in the Netherlands. This Dutch premiere will take place on 30 October in Breepark (Breda). After thorough market research, it appears that the Dutch industrial public is also interested in an event where knowledge sharing goes hand in hand with today's practical possibilities, presented by top tech partners.
