Schneider Electric, a world leader in energy management and automation, at the SPS fair previewed a range of new automation solutions for 2025. These innovations are designed to enable companies to operate faster and more efficiently within an increasingly complex digital landscape. “Our solutions are aimed at businesses that want to move forward in a digital world,” said Ali Haj Fraj, SVP Digital Factory at Schneider Electric. “With the innovations for 2025, we offer customers advanced automation technology that helps them compete and innovate.”
These innovations can be expected by 2025:
- The Modicon M660: an advanced Industrial PC (IPC) Motion Controller that combines precision, motion control, safety and edge computing functionalities in one device. This integrated approach enables seamless integration of control, data processing and communication in applications where real-time control, low latency and instant decision-making are critical.
- Modicon Edge I/O NTS: a future-proof I/O solution for data aggregation, designed for versatile industrial applications within one unified I/O family. With a distributed IP20 design, open IP Ethernet protocols and advanced cyber security, the system offers unmatched interoperability and efficiency, leading to time and cost savings and increased operational flexibility.
- Altivar Process ATV6100: a compact medium-voltage drive designed for sectors such as mining, power and water management, which optimises energy management and asset management for higher efficiency and a smaller carbon footprint. With up to 20% lower Total Cost of Ownership and space savings of up to 40%, the system meets IEEE-519 standards for low harmonics and is equipped with Altivar Predict, a technology for predictive monitoring and early fault detection via cloud connectivity.
- The Lexium 38i: a compact, decentralised motion control solution that combines drive and motor in one unit, suitable for servo and stepper motor technology. Designed for energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness, this unit offers high power density, integrated safety and simplified integration, reducing implementation time and installation costs.
- The Lexium Scara: a compact, high-speed industrial robot ideal for precision work such as pick-and-place and assembly in industries such as electronics and packaging. With a 40% smaller footprint and integration with the EcoStruxure™ Machine Expert Twin platform for virtual testing, this robot improves production line efficiency and reduces both time-to-market and cost of ownership.
- CONNECT: AVEVA's CONNECT platform offers new capabilities for data sharing, digital twins, AI and analytics, supporting real-time collaboration and data analytics within a comprehensive ecosystem. Optimised dashboards and AI-based analytics allow users to improve production processes, while new synchronisation features with AVEVA PI Server enable real-time collaboration between operational experts and data scientists.
