On 9 October, 1,307 Industrial Digital innovators gathered at Kortrijk Xpo to take their first or next step towards digital transformation.
The 10th edition of ABISS, the annual summit and networking platform for industrial digital transformation, wrote a new chapter in its success story on 9 October 2025. With 96 technology partners, 18 expert speakers, 14 well-attended expert classes, 7 live-recorded podcasts and no fewer than 1,307 industrial decision-makers from all sectors of industry, ABISS once again confirmed its status as the premier meeting place for those who want to shape their digital future today.
As with previous editions, the anniversary edition centred on three thematic routes: Industry of Things, Intelligence of Things and Security of Things. For the first time, visitors were able to use an AI tool in advance to create a personalised visitor journey based on their company, role and needs. This resulted in 298 personalised visitor journeys, tailored to the technologies, sessions and partners that best aligned with their digital ambitions.

As always, ABISS brought together a diverse mix of SMEs and industrial heavyweights, with representatives from sectors such as machinery and equipment manufacturing, automation, food, pharmaceuticals, ICT and engineering.
Ten years of ABISS have been ten years of knowledge-sharing, connection and progress. This year’s focus was on the evolution towards a data-driven, secure and intelligent future. From the industrial potential of 6G and AI to the need for clear digital strategies and people-centred transformation: technology and knowledge must go hand in hand. Applications such as digital twins, edge intelligence and AI agents demonstrate how automation is becoming both smarter and more autonomous. At the same time, data quality, governance and cybersecurity remain indispensable pillars for sustainable growth. Case studies, such as that of ZF Wind Power, demonstrated that successful digitalisation begins with process knowledge, reliable data and a strong vision.

With the 10th edition in Kortrijk, ABISS is ready to take the next step: the first Dutch edition, ABISS Breda, will take place on Thursday 30 October 2025 at Breepark. This move across the border is a logical consequence of the growing demand for an accessible, high-quality knowledge and networking platform focused on industrial digitalisation, including within Dutch industry.
“Year after year, the Belgian edition of ABISS demonstrates that there is a need for a compact, focused event that brings together technology, knowledge and decision-making. With ABISS Breda, we are bringing that same successful formula to the Netherlands, in collaboration with our partners and a rapidly growing network of industrial innovators,” says Karl D’haveloose (Director of industrialFairs)
The combination of a strong programme of content, carefully selected technology partners and a proven focus on OT/IT integration means that ABISS is poised to become the leading platform for Industrial Digital Innovation in the Netherlands as well.
